In-place Cultural Orientation
Our Aboriginal staff deliver in-place cultural orientation to students and new staff. This enhances their understanding of the significance of the regions in which they learn and work, and the history of the lives of local Aboriginal people.
Clinical Yarning
Clinical Yarning is a framework to assist clinicians to improve the effectiveness of their communication in Aboriginal health care. Clinical Yarning workshops build upon in-place cultural learning and provide clinicians and students with skills that translate cultural learning into healthcare practice.
Cultural Orientation Plan
The Cultural Orientation Plan is an online course for students and health professionals working with Aboriginal people. Completion of this package is a prerequisite for all students completing placements at WACRH. View the Cultural Orientation Plan website.
