We are happy to introduce our newest Aboriginal Health Development Assistants, Allee Bartlett and Johny Narkle. As proud Yamatji young people, they bring with them cultural knowledge and a passion for making a difference in their community. They'll be playing a crucial role in our Aboriginal Youth Leadership & Health Literacy 12-month initiative, working to bridge the gap between healthcare information and Aboriginal populations. Collaborating with community leaders and healthcare providers, they will be working towards tailoring health education programs to be culturally appropriate and accessible.
This culturally sensitive approach aims to not only enhances health literacy but also promotes better health outcomes and overall community well-being.
