A huge thank you to Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) for including the WA Centre for Rural Health in their recent travels to Geraldton! The IAHA team were on the road to promote the High School to Deadly Careers Program (HS2DC) - igniting inspiration among young Aboriginal and Torres Islander people to pursue careers in health.
During their visit they yarned with our year 10 Student Health Academy students who are interested in pursuing health careers. They also visited students at Mullewa District High School, who had a blast learning about health careers, checking their blood pressure, and even guessing the sugar content in their snacks! We’re especially grateful for the chance to reconnect with Mitch Walley, a past WACRH student.
