MAOA Housing Project
The MAOA (Midwest Aboriginal Organisation Alliance – a coalition of Aboriginal Organisations in Geraldton) Housing Project commenced in 2011 and focused on understanding housing issues faced by Aboriginal people in Geraldton.

In partnership with WACHS (WA Country Health Services), WACRH is developing and conducting an evaluation of the Allied Health Clinical Training Model (AHCTM) including the application of project funding to support the development of 9 dedicated clinical training sites over the time period of 2012-2014.

Cardiovascular disorders are common and serious health problems in all populations around the world. In Australia, Aboriginal people have much higher rates of cardiovascular disorders than other Australians. In fact, cardiovascular disorders are the single most important cause of the gap in life expectancy between Aboriginal people compared with other people in Australia.
