In this video, Jason Bartlett realises his dying wish to raise the awareness of the importance of men taking personal responsibility for their health.

The 36 year old singer, songwriter and former television music show star recorded the video nine days before he passed away in Royal Perth Hospital in June 2015 , from complications of diabetes and obesity, leading to heart and kidney failure.

This video was produced by the WA Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) of the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Health Communication Resources.
The WA Centre for Rural Health launched the video ‘Passing on Wisdom: Jason's Diabetes Story’ at UWA with the Honourable Ken Wyatt , Minister for Aged Care, Minister for Indigenous Health, on Saturday 9 December 2017.
Thank you to the Bartlett family for their support in developing this video and to the UWA Poche Centre for Indigenous Health for financial support.
